About The book :

The science of mammalian endocrine system focuses on the intricate network of glands and hormones that regulate essential physiological processes in mammals. This system, comprising glands like the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal, and others, secretes hormones into the bloodstream, influencing functions such as growth, metabolism, reproduction, and stress response. Hormones act as chemical messengers, binding to specific receptors on target cells, and orchestrating complex biological responses. Understanding the endocrine system is crucial in comprehending various health conditions and developing treatments for disorders arising from hormonal imbalances. It plays a vital role in maintaining homeostasis and overall well-being in mammals.
