With the advent of Right to Education, the whole scenario has changed in the field of education. It is now realized that special education is no longer the exclusive domain of special educators. Inclusive education is rather a new endeavor in India. The inclusive school aims to include children who were previously excluded or marginalized because of their disabilities. My purpose in writing this textbook “Special Education” is to help teachers meet the objectives of inclusive education. This book caters to the need of teachers and will also help parents and community to understand SEN children.
